Do you want to temporarily suspend your website from receiving customer orders during a busy time - follow the steps below.

Please note that these steps will not actually "turn off" your site. It will prevent any orders from processing with delivery or pickup dates in the range you disable and notify customers that you will be only accepting phone orders for the period.  A customer will still be able to order an item with delivery for after the holiday with no issue.

How to Add a Website Top Bar Notification

Adding a top  bar gives you the ability to put a banner of text on a colored background across the very top of your florist website. This can be great for announcing special holiday hours or closures.

To activate your top bar, navigate to Website ➜ Design ➜ Top Bar Manager.

  • Set Show Top Nav Bar Text to Yes
  • Choose your text color and your bar background color.
  • Select your text size.
  • Finally, add the text you would like displayed on the top bar.
  • To put text on a new line, simply type <br> after the last line before the break. Be sure to click Save!

Add a Message to Delivery Policy Section (OPTIONAL)

Add a message to your delivery section sharing what your policy will be for the rest of the week, or to announce the need to call the shop for an order.

Settings ➜ Website Settings ➜ Website Settings

The Delivery Policy appears on every product page on the website, ensuring that the customer will see your delivery policy before completing their website purchase.

If you'd like to update the default delivery policy, go to Settings ➜ Website Settings ➜ Website Settings and scroll down near the bottom of the page.
